Reserves play Sunday. I would think that Davis will play. Dumb, given Roos comments that he needs one more game, if he doesn't.

I believe they always travel with at least one emergency, two if a named player is under a cloud. If the reserves play the day after the senior team, the travelling reserve(s) will travel to the reserves game immediately after the senior game ends and take their place. The problem with them not getting a game only arises if the two teams play at the same time or if the reserves play before the senior team. In the latter case they will normally take at least one of the reserves off at half-time in that game in case they're required to play the senior game.

Maybe Richards has to play to justify the decision to acquire a player who was a strong chance to get delisted by his club. As for Bevan, one of the worst players running around in the AFL today but he must, like Benny, do some pretty good stuff off the ball when nobody else is watching.

Anyone else find it puzzling that ND is on the emergency list? If he's fit and firing then he should be in the 22, if not then he should play out another reserves game. Me thinks a sneaky last minute change is on the cards.

I must say, I thought it odd that someone supposedly not fit enough to play a full game was named as an emergency, but then thought that perhaps it was, as stella suggested, a little bit of encouragement for Nick. Hope you are right ugg.

I think Schmidt was a bit of disappointment. N.Davis is named as emergency in case Buchanon doesnt recover in time. There arent that many other options. I'd say Phillips needs a rest.
