Agreed. He is a super set shot at goal, touch wood he keeps it going. When he lined it up yesterday i just knew he wouldn't miss, he never seems to unless its from a super hard, impossible angle, in which case he looks to pass off, just like Schneids.

He'd also go close to biggest improver this year, has been fairly consistent all year and is now a definite in the first 18 every week.

He certainly should stay away from our D50 whenever he can. Has a tendency to second-guess under pressure, but at least his kicking for goal has improved with experience (it seemed to be a pressure thing early on).

I went to the game on Saturday with a mate who supports Collingwood (I try to overlook this character flaw) and even he commented on what a good year McVeigh was having. I'm hoping that McVeigh has will cement his spot in the seniors and that his days of moving between the seniors and the 2's are over.

yeah seems mcveigh will win the most improved gong- he went from a two-bit player to an every-game-this-season player . btw 19.5 is awesome! if this bloke was in melbourne he'd be being hailed as the next didak.

I remember seeing a story somewhere about how he was disappointed with last year, and not being in the finals squad. There's no doubt that this year he's well and truly in the top 22.

I can't remember where I saw it, but I think I read his brother wants to come to Sydney next year. I don't know where he would fit, but I love watching Mark McVeigh take the speccys he is so good at.

I think he uses the "I'm thinking about going to Sydney to live" line everytime he's up for negotiating a new contract with the Bombers. It has become rather tedious and not worth paying any attention to.
