Feel fantastic about Sydney Swans making those posters feel like rubbish at full-time in 2005.

What a bunch of freakin Western Australian Bill Lawreys.

I'm with elroy on this one. Last year I thought their forwards were getting hammered in the press but a good part of the problem was their delivery forward and structure up front.

The Grand Final is a great case in point, a lot of Inside 50's in that last quarter but the majority of them just bombed away to be swallowed up by our on song back six.

Interesting to note that this has improved markedly this year.

Wow. The contrast between these Bigfooty guys and the Weagles is stark.

You can just see the Big Footy Swans clasping their hands together, playing in the sun and smiling those chocolate gumdrop smiles.

And I can see those Weagles hicks - pain, hate, rage and anger etched all over their scarred faces and turning them a very unhealthy shade of green.

They're steadily looking more and more like their pet pit bulls.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Wot, is Worsfold going to re-invent the game or something? There isn't any "game plan" in footy that can't be reacted to within 5 minutes of the opening bounce. He might sneak an early goal by tweaking something somewhere but that's it. There's nothing new under the sun. They should get used to it.

I thought the best plan was to always kick a higher score than the opposition. You win with that plan every time.

That was the mantra of Ted Glossop, coach of Canterbruy Bankstown (that was in another life when rugby league meant something to people). They won the grand final in 1980, and I still vividly remember the kick Brentnal to Gearin...try.

Is their plan to bring back Michael Gardiner - drink, stoned and flying on chemicals (all very much to be admired, really) - and have him turn into a human wrecking ball?

When you put both teams up against each other, the one thing that stands out is that if you can limit the effectiveness of Judd, Kerr and Cousins then they are in big trouble.

We get a much more even spread of contributors over the park which makes us much harder to match up on and stop.

It also means that the difference between our worse and best is a lot smaller than West Coast, something that comes in real handy when it comes to tense finals football.

In a tight tense GF at the "G" I would back our style of play and even spread over players bearing the load over the Eagles.

Adelaide on the other hand are a far more dangerous combination and I think we would have to play out of our skin to beat them at the "G" in a GF.
