    Who should play on SOG?

aka Gary Ablett Jr? His usual opponent Crouch is out and I don't think we have an obvious replacement. Here are some of the options:

Bevan - Would be the closest to Crouch in terms of size but may lack the pace to keep up with SOG.
Dempster - Could be the option and could stick on him even when SOG moves to the midfield.
Kennelly - Usually plays on the 'least dangerous' forward, and this definitely isn't the case with SOG. Would be a big ask and might restrict his attacking ability.
CBolton - I see him playing on Chapman or Steve Johnson.
Barry - Matches up well with the smaller forwards (e.g. Mark Williams) as shown in the past, but may be required to matchup on Mooney. Richards's presence in the team may free Leo up to play on SOG.

I guess it depends on wher he spends most of his time. As you alluded to, if he pushes up into the midfield, I can't see Leo going with him, so it might be a combination role depending on where he's playing at the time.

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

That's certainly an interesting suggestion, as he has played on the goalsneaks (e.g. Lovett) in the past. However, Schneider hasn't played in the defence for some weeks, plus its getting quite crowded down there with Leo, B2, Teddy, LRT, Kennelly + maybe Bevan, Dempster.

Schneider down back, dump Bevan, Davis into the side...

              How about NOG?

More seriously, I think Schneider is a good chance. Bevan maybe to get Chapman, who also needs close minding but isn't as slippery as Ablett. Bevan is probably an ideal opponent as they are both tuff nutts.

Schneider is a good choice, he is also a bit more damaging when we have the ball than Bevan so it would make Ablett have to stay on his toes.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Title of this thread got me thinking......

His Dad has become known more for his disappointments and what he didn't do than actually how much influence he had, in the times before floods. The son comes along and is considered by loyal followers more worthy and capable of bringing about the previously impossible while never escaping the constant references to his Dad, while the rest of the family get up to some really notable stuff but never seem to get the recognition of these two.....

Sounds familiar....... think it might be in a book somewhere.

Good call. But don't you think Schneider's a little out of form? For some reason he's just faded over the past four or five rounds. Anyone noticed that?
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Chapman is a real danger up forward. C Bolton would be a good match up for him.

                            Leo will take Mooney

                            Schneider on The Diver Ablett.
