Geez Louise people ... give us a break!!!
Davis should have a good hard look at himself. He has a pretty good view, he head is often up his butt.
    He's dropped. Period. Finish.
When Roosey says he can come back, he'll be back. No use whinging about it.
    Worry about who's still playing.
Up till three weeks ago, I was asking for Ablett's head on a platter ... all bloody season.
(If any of you sit in the upper brewongle ... I'm the one who yells "aaaaaaaaaaaabbbbbbblllllllllleeeeeeeeetttttttt" every time he gets the ball.)
Sure, he's a ball getter .... but prior to the last three weeks, his "effective disposal" rate was horrendous.
Three weeks isn't that long a time in footy.
I reckon Roosey just "might" bring Davis back for the Carlton match to give him a bit of a run, then drop Bevan for the finals series.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

Yes Davo is great, fabulous even. Yes, he got us into the Grand Final.

Leo Barry actually won us the Grand Final ... do you see him making a big song and dance, upnoting himself at every opportunity? No you don't.

If Davo's head wasn't so far up his butt, he'd be playing today.

He's obviously done something (other than match fitness) that has upset the whole playing group. If one cog is broken, the wheels ain't gunna turn effectively.

Sorry, but from day one, I've always said that ND is totally up himself. It's the impression I get by pure observation. He was up himself when he played for Collingwood, and tigers don't generally change their stripes. ("Pure observation" is a method of judgement I've used for over forty years. It's worked pretty well for me so far.)

As fans, we can't pick and choose who we want on our team, (although we did a fantastic job getting Roosey the gig). If that were the way, we would have gotten Spida before he was signed to Hawthorn.

PREDICTION: Davo will be dropped to the draft and used as swap fodder for a more talented player next year.

(OH MY GOD ... I CAN HEAR THEM COMING FOR ME NOW ... PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!!!)

Pure observation? How often do you witness this behaviour? On the footy field? Or do you see him more often?

Because if you are making all these statements about how up himself he is based on seeing him from a distance at a few footy games, that isn't exactly the smartest call even if you have been using 'pure observation' for a zillion years.

Sure he's a bit of an extrovert compared to others in our side, but that doesn't give you the right to judge him as a whole person unless you have much more to do with him than that.

Yes, I have seen him out and about quite a few times.
Yes, by seeing him out and about (and directly talking with him on a few occasions), I have the impression that he is up himself. I believe I have the right to make my observations without copping a crap response like that.

I'm assuming you're married to him?

Sure, "a sensational moment in a football club" is keeping a lid on it.

Does trying to copyright his image count as big-noting?? I'd say it does.

Yes "it was a sensational moment in a football club" ... it's something Leo Barry, the club and the fans can be proud of for the rest of his/their/our life.

You can't spend THIS season living off the laurels of LAST season.

You don't win grand finals like that.

Roosey's not a liar ... he's playing in a competition against 15 other clubs and coaches, who would have spent the whole of last summer watching the Swans 2005 season to find out exactly just how they did it.

I'm pretty sure that under the banner "swans ethos", rule no 3, is "do not air your dirty laundry in public". That's probably why Davo is in the doghouse in the first place. Said the wrong thing to the wrong people (e.g. telling the media "I'm a scapegoat for the rest of the team"). I'm sorry, but if that statement alone says it all. Ben Matthews was dropped ... you didn't hear him bitch about it to the press.

Leo Barry is every bit as guilty of talking himself up post-Premiership as Nick Davis is.

He has made claims that contradict your claims so either he is a liar or you are wrong. Your pick.

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Had Barry not taken the mark there's no guarantee the Eagles would have won the match. There wasn't long to go. Nobody can predict what would have happened had the ball hit the deck. One would imagine that the players would have tried to create a stoppage. There was no guarantee either that Seaby would have taken the mark, he rarely hangs on to them up forward. But one thing is for sure, one last quarter of brilliance by an individual against the Cats was decisive.

Given that Davis is one of the most talented players on the Swans list, this is an unbelievable call. Sure he doesn't always use that talent, but the talent he has is beyond doubt in the top 2 or 3 at the club.

I am going to predict this is just mind games with Geelong and someone is out and Davis will play...(fingers crossed)

I can't fathom that a player clearly in our best 22...well isn't in our 22!! I will be really dissapointed if he isn't back this week.
