    Davo watch

Aside from his 7 goals, 4 behinds, 10 or so contested marks, I'd say 25 possessions (maybe more), getting belted 2 or 3 times behind play, and being horribly mown down running through the middle at one stage (seems to be a rule even in the ressies that you must get pinged for HTB at least once a week) he looks lean - almost too lean. Still big when standing next to Phillips, but did not look much bigger than Josh Willoughby today.

How much time did he spend in the midfield and the forward line?

Are his arms thicker than Ericsson's?

I hope he doesn't end up like Plugger in his comeback...he was too light to play the same game he used to(in the little bit of time he got before hurting his leg)

First qtr was odd. He just seemed to run, sort of like a dog at the park when you let it off the leash. At first I thought he was tagging someone who was just trying to shake him. Then I wondered if maybe he was having trouble reading the game - as mathews seemed to be a bit lost as well. But I think that both of them were just trying to make sure they got plenty of miles in their legs early. In the last 5 mins of the first Davo slipped forward and goaled. He started in the middle in the second quarter but about half way through he went forward and kicked 3.1 in about 10 mins, and laid off another. The third quarter he started forward but not for long then went back into the middle. He sort of played on the ball for most of that time and roved an Eriksen tap for a flying goal from the left pocket late in the term. He must have been 30m from goal and almost over the line when he threw it on his left - it sailed through post hig. The last qtr was a little odd. He started fwd. He marked about 30m out and hit the post. A minute later he marked about 50 out and lined up. Willoughby got free in the centre, about 30 out and Nick ignored him. He kicked from 60 and it fell short. Phillips goaled from the crumbs. The runner went out. A minute later he marked again about 20 m out. Willoughby got free again and Nick passed off - fairly poorly. He got dragged. When he came to the bench he said he could not see him in the sun - and that was why he had not passed off the other time. When he went back on he, Willougby and Spriggs tore it up through the middle of the ground, Nick practicing hitting blokes on the chest from the edge of the square. I wanted him to bomb one long but he didn't have a go.

Yeah, but the team kicked 25. He also kicked 4 behinds (1 poster) and had he been a bit more selfish, could have kicked 2 or 3 more.

Did he get carried off on a stretcher at any time?

No, but not from lack of trying from some of the Eastlakers
