    How did Richards go today?

had a wedding so didn't see the game - would like to hear if he had any impact today in a losing side?

Went onto Mooney in the last quarter and did okay. Did a few okay things, but didn't really have much impact.

He had one of the few positive performances in the second half.

A few touches...but I put it this way...if he is in the finals team we don't win. Pressure kills him...even the goal was out of desperation...he took for ever to conclude there was no other option (which he wanted).

I thought he played well. Took some nice defensive marks, kicked well and beat Mooney for the time they were on each other.

One of his better games for the year.

Richards is doing quite well I think. He's not top echelon, but doing the jobs asked of him.

My only criticism of him is that he seems a little weak. Needs to impose himself in marking contests more when in the forward line.

I thought Richards had a good game - he bobbed up at some cruical moments.

He took some good marks and kicked a nice goal as well, although the few seconds before he kicked it, he looked like he had no idea what to do with the ball.

Played a better game yesterday. But he danced with the ball at times and had no idea what to do with the ball. Despite that, his pretty good as a defensive player and kicked a goal...probably sheer luck.

Well I did not see to much other dancing with the ball - most of the team seemed quite flat (except for Nog and Goodes)

Wow...a few "tedites" had me worried there for a minute until Carolyn steadied the ship...Ted is a reserve grade player where it counts i.e. football nouse, quickness of decision making, & a willingness to get hurt in need...& in disposal for good measure. Sheedy is not a complete fool.
If they continue to pick him I just hope he doesn't get found out too often.

By and large a good game. He's currently in season-best form (which I know ain't saying a lot). When he got put onto Cam Mooney, I thought 'this is gonna be a bloodbath', but he actually did a good job of containing him.

Plus, he proved again on a few occasions that he is a very good one-grab overhead mark-- even when going back with the flight. This is a skill not to be scoffed at.

The bad news is that his pretty poor kick for goal after a good mark 30-35 metres out earlyish in the 3rd quarter, that could have had us go in front, was for my money the turning point of the game. 3 minutes after that, we looked like we were never going to head them, and in fact didn't.

For all of the mediocrity of Sydney's forward entries, at the end of the day it was an 18 vs 20 scoring shots game of footy, i.e. the number 1 reason why we didn't either win or go within a kick or so, is that Geelong converted a large proportion of their chances, and we didn't.
