Like kids, I think if the players have proper instruction, they will come good, as is evidenced in Hall and Plugegr.

Just a thought, that Geelong may be looking to offload him for a Nick Davis......
I have to admit, I have thought the same thing during the last week.

I assure you that Davis won't be up for trade at the end of the year. He is a required player at this club & even though Roos has come out & said that its not 100% that Davis will stay well that's all just smoke in the air.

Everitt looks most likely to head over but Davis won't be touched.

It's such a lazy theory because Spida and Gardiner are obvious trade material while Davis is currently on the outer at the Swans.

He's just put all his eggs in one basket and come up with it.

Spriggs or Doyle to Hawthorn may make more sense, although I am less supportive of a Spida trade in recent weeks. Just don't think it's worth it anymore - especially if Donk can get himself right.

What a crock. We all know the punting is better in Sydney. WA metro racing is about as good as country Vic or NSW stuff.

Besides Hawthorn's not stupid. They have a couple of outstanding young ruckmen so why would they get someone who will be caught out at Crown Casino. Talk about putting a kid in a candy shop. As a matter of fact with his contacts in WA he may not even be allowed into Crown.

Fancy Gardiner with gammy knees trying to get through constant TD games. No chance.

I honestly don't see why we have to give anything to the hawks to get Spider. Spider is out of contract and should just nominate for the pre season draft. If the rumours are correct that the Swans are offering him 700k for 2 years I can't see any other club matching those conditions. All Spider has to do is nominate is minimum conditions of 700k for 2 years and no other club will pick him up.

No particular affinity although it seems Hinds lifted my post for his column today...

One rumour floated at the weekend had Everitt coming to Sydney in a three-way swap you might call the Troublemakers Trifecta - Davis to West Coast, Eagles ruckman Michael Gardiner to Hawthorn and Everitt to Sydney. But that seemed more a case of throwing all the problem cases in one basket than a realistic scenario. However Everitt got to Sydney, he would have the potential to boost the Swans' stocks - but also to test that famous recruiting policy. plagiarism

I'd like to see SMH institute a no @@@@heads policy so that we won't have columns filled with rehashed tripe.
