You betcha!!!
Potential dropees ... so many to choose from after last weeks' performance.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
Originally posted by liz Not necessarily. Bevan would be a reasonable match-up for someone like McGrath - quickish but not lightening fast - but isn't he injured at the moment?
Rhan Hooper has been playing as the small, quick forward for the Lions recently and has been doing a bit of damage. I suspect he's too quick for Bevan and they'll need to move Schneider back to cover him in the ongoing absence of Crouch.
Fair call, but with Roos constantly saying they'll pick the team based on who they expect to line up for the opposition, I'd imagine that they'd have a few options lined up for Bevan - guys like Sherman/Stiller/Moody. Of those, only Sherman really plays in the midfield.
I'm on the Chandwagon!!!
If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.
No trying to sound like Roos here, but you should NEVER underestimate the opposition. Furthermore, Sydney has a tendency to win games we shouldnt win, and lose games we should win - with that in mind we should select a team that is designed to match brisbane whether they are 1st on the ladder or 16th.
I dont think "matching up" is directly related to defensive style as you seem to suggest. Matching up requires two things in my view -
1) to be able to cover the oppositions players that pose a threat, with similar players in speed, build,
2) in covering those players, having your players matching the oppostion in speed, and build, but beating them in ability/skill.
if you can succeed in meeting 1, then thats great you can cover defensively, but the greater goal is to meet 1 and 2, so that matching up becomes an succesful avenue of offense.

No-one listens to the fans anymore. Actually, I don't think they ever did.

Hope he does return - to be confirmed.
Also wont expect too much first game back - lots of pressure on Nick to perform and most senior players dont come back all guns blaring. I hope he does well though. Go Nick.

You don't like to be entertained?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Hey hey hey, you are forgetting all that combined with the excitement of those great examples of footskills the 30 metre floaters and 35 metre tumblers!
