About the ressies, i really like the look of Rowe as a forward. When his body fills out he would be a big power forward looking types. He has some good skills, good mark and an accurate kick at goal.

Official Swans Report
Spriggs was the Swans? best for another week, playing on the ball and picking up 45 possessions while Schmidt, with 38 possessions, also made an impact. Thornton, at half back, and Kieren Jack in the back pocket led the Swans? defence and Phillips, playing on ball and forward and kicking five goals also contributed noticeably.Comment

Re: SA connection
Recruiting from SA is actually very smart. It negates the go-home factor as SA produces enough players for 2.6 teams, yet only has places for players in 2.0 teams. Therefore a substantial surplus of players, therefore much harder for the 2 SA teams to fit in any homesick players from other states.Originally posted by Magoos
The reason for all the SA recruits is peter jonas. being from SA himself he loves the kids from there. once their here he makes sure the stay for a few years even if some dont deserve to.
ie. The players may get homesick, but there is rarely enough room for them back home, so they stay here.Comment

Re: SA connection
The Swans have been recruiting heavily from SA long before Jonas arrived at the club. Doyle and James (admittedly both FS selections), O'Loughlin, Nicks, Crouch, Sundqvist, Fitzgerald etcOriginally posted by Magoos
