The Geelong game was tragic. We did not turn up to play and our chances of a serious tilt at back to back were decimated by that loss. In one game we went from being in control of our fortunes to being totally out of control. After the game, the inextricably nonchalent 'it happens' attitude of the coach (wider wings - yeah right!) and some players made me realise that they don't have the hunger and drive of last year. No doubt we have a very good team with some great players, but there are other teams out there that want it more.

It would be a pleasant surprise to make inroads in September, but personally, I cannot see it happening.

Maybe Roos should have taken the pre season more seriously so we turned up in rounds 1-4 ready to play.

The losses to Essendon and then the home losses to Port and Melbourne will cost us big time.

Roos was far to relaxed about it all and now its left us (potentially) with an improbable mountain to climb.

Yep. I agree. The chances of us making top 4 are becoming more remote.

We've lost a lot of games we shouldn't have - Essendon, Port, Melbourne, StKilda, Collingwood, West Coast, Geelong.

Amazingly, with one week until finals, Fremantle are the team in best form, with the best balance, in the competition!!

I guess we can start blaming the blind goal umpire who @@@@@@ up the missed poster when Rix got a goal in the St Kilda match earlier this year. If that was seen, we'd be 3rd on %.

I didn't suggest we should have won all seven of those games. However, if we had won just one of them, then we'd be set for third spot. If we had won three of them, then we'd be set for first or second.

we will finish fourth, melbourne won't win in adelaide and havent for sometime. even as bad as adelaide's injuries might be they surely wont drop a game to melbourne.

Many of those games weren't even close. Port/ Essendon /Geelong /Pies were just bad losses.

They should have been a lot closer. We were complacent in all those losses.

Because we would have won that St Kilda match! (disregarding the causal effects)

We've been shafted a few times in dodgy goal umpire decisions including last night.

Adelaide dont have much to play for. They are guaranteed top 2 spot, so could rest all partially injured players.

Melbourne, need to win to stay top 4.

                              Its 50/50 at best.
