I thought he looked nervous, undecided and a bit like LRT when he had the ball. Nice work, Roosy.
The new Nick Davis.

it seems is doubting his ability and showed especially at his shot for goal this he wasn't backing himself. he didn't want to shoot for goal and so he didn't back his ability to kick the goal. he needs some confidence and hopefully that will come in the next few weeks.Comment

I didnt think it was the same old Nick, but you have to remember that the eyes of the footy world(RWO/Little Footy/Coaching Staff) were watching and he played a little bit nervous and indecisive. His skill and game nous will return over the next couple of weeks,as it is a big step up from magoos to seniors and 6 weeks is a long time in footy. Now this is a thread that i would expect on the ego -centric, wank session that is redandwhiteonline.com...

He'll be better for the run. Maybe he was trying too hard to play Bloods football and nervous that any individual brilliance would have him labelled selfish."As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk

Like the banana kick that missed by 15m you mean? Presumably just trying to show that sort of thing is no longer part of his game.Originally posted by hammo

Agreed, it looked like Murphy in One Flew over the Cuckoos Nest post labotomy. Roos is like Nurse Ratchett you can win the argument but in the end you lose.Originally posted by Sanecow

Roos was on MMM and said he was pleased with Nick's game and mentioned that he thinks 6 weeks in the much lower tempo of the reserves makes it hard to adjust to senior level. He's confident that Davis will play a lot better next week but thought he got some nice touches.LIFE GOES ONComment

Definitely Davis. Grundy is a good kick for goal except Davis can do that and other stuff around the ground as well.Originally posted by melbloods78

Of course Davis playing ordinary footy is Roos' fault!Originally posted by Sanecow

Re: Re: The new Nick Davis.
That is not what he said. He said he looked nervous and indecisive. As a Davis fan myself I am prepared to admit that like others (including Hall atm and Kirk all season), he is capable of some ordinary football. Never though has he looked indecisive or nervous. If his confidence has been shattered then we have lost something invaluable - the sort of self assuredness someone needs to do what he did v Geelong at the SCG last year is not in great supply at Club Roos.Originally posted by Eala ?ireann
