Can there be a PF in Sydney

I'll be in Sydney on the PF weekend, is there a possibility that there maybe a PF in Sydney.

Not that it really makes much difference, but it may help somewhat in planning some activities for the kiddies. If it's not a possibility, we will try and head up to Port Mac for the weekend probably.

    TIA

Only if we make top 4 and win the first game.

As I predicted in some of my earlier posts that's very unlikely to happen. I still believe they'll finish 5th and get a home final, but not PF. The loss against Geelong was too costly.

Agree. The Melbourne / Geelong draw was heartbreaking for us as well.

Hard to see Melbourne losing to an injury ravaged Adelaide when Melbourne have so much to play for and the Crows not really for anything other than avoiding more injuries before the finals.

As for Freo, they will wollop Port in Perth and I reckon 5th spot is ours.

We will be doing it the hard way come the finals...but it is possible!

Possibly. But the Crows do have depth & they'll want to break their losing streak coming into the finals. They won't lie down.

Plus Port have hit some form the last 3 weeks (could have had 3 wins in a row - all against top 8 teams) - so don't discount them.

It's all academic - we just need to do our bit & beat Carlton (& this aint a given, either). Regardless of what happens in the games we can't control, we have to win to assure at least 5th - 'cos if you HAD to pick a team to play against in the first final, it'd be the doggies.

Not finishing top 4 will not be the end as we always seem go better doing things the hard way. Adelaide & WC are limping home, Freo are on fire - but will their game handle the extra pressure of finals? Melbourne are struggling. Saints are up & down, but they'd love the chance to knock us out. It's still game on as far as I can see.

Really??? Is this the same Melbourne that gave up a 38pt lead to the Roos before they finally kicked into gear, and then surrendered a 34pt lead to Geelong as they fell in a heap? One second more in that game and they would have lost.

Plus its in Adelaide, and Adelaide have everything to play for.

I am tipping a close but comfortable win to the Crows.

The next consideration for us is to try and meet the Crows in the QF. Will only happen if the Weagles lose to Richmond at the MCG (which actually isn't totally unlikely), OR Freo lose to Port at home. If they both win we will most likely finish 4th and play WC at Subi.

As long as we make top 4, the Swannies should hold no fear in travelling to either Perth or Adelaide for a Qualifying final. As an away team in these matches and the fact you cannot get knocked out there is more pressure on the home team to win.

All I am hoping for is Top 4 and then anything can happen and probably will.

Absolutely. Five losses and a narrow win is no way to enter the finals.

Always be wary of a team that has been written off.

The Crows will want to make a statement on Saturday (just as Geelong did against us). They need to go into the finals with some confidence so I am quietly confident that the Crows will be very hard to beat on Saturday.

Is that rule about having a prelim in Melbourne still around? Have they sorted out anything with the MCG?

Could we be playing a home prelim in Melbourne?

No it has been sorted out, although if the dominance of the interstate clubs continues it could get interesting.

There is every possibility there will be two preliminary finals in Perth this year.

No. Thanks to Collingwood and the sacrifice they have made to endure more games in melbourne than any other club for the good of the game. If you believe Eddie McChins
