    AFL Footy Show

    Is Ch9 still gunna do the footy show???
    I won't miss staying up till 2am Friday mornings, but I will miss Sam Newman ... he's one of my favourite tools ... him and Capper!!
    Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.

      Why not??

      It was on before they had the footy. They just couldn't show any footage.

          I'd like to see it stay on air, albeit a little earlier in Sydney!!

              That doesn't matter. They've relied on the footage of Garry Lyon in pain after he broke his leg and I can just imagine they'll play it many more times next year...

                  Channel 9 always had their footy show even when Ch 7 had the rights last time around. They've never shown shown much footage of games. The tend to tool around a lot more. It does have some funny moments but I can take it or leave. If you visit the ninemsn site they have an archive of various segments which you can watch.

                      Has anyone noticed that the AFL Footy Show is becoming more and more like the NRL Footy Show i.e. focusing less on football and more on entertainment. I guess that's not a bad thing, considering the NRL version has been picking up the Logies these past few years and the AFL version have been trying new ridiculous things lately...

                          That's what I love the most about the AFL footy show ... they actually talk about football.

                          The NRL show should be called "The Tonight Show with the Bogan League Heads".
