        No.

There is only, at the most usually, one NRL game a year at the SCG. A 'let's celebrate the past game'...

A Saturday night league game at the SCG the night before an AFL game is the most ridiculous thing ever. Don't like it at all.

Lucky for the Trust that the weather has been mostly good this week. Just imagine two league games in wet conditions on the Saturday and then having to get the ground fit to play two AFL games the next day, starting at 10am in the morning.

Predicted 27 degrees tomorrow and 25 on Sunday with cooler breeze.

            Should be fine fortunately.

I was thinking about that too. The NRL game starts at 7:30 p.m. And the reserves start around 10, enough time to change the field? Possible but they're probably under the pump.

Go the Roosters! Go the Swans!

Not like they're playing at Telstra Stadium where they have to reconfigure the seating. The boundary line won't be touched, just the 50m arc, centre square and logos will need repainting.

Remember too that up until 1987 they had to switch between the two codes regularly and it was never a problem getting the ground ready.

Sorry I should have clarified that with "at other grounds as well."

And YES, it is pretty stupid.

What's the big deal? They have to pull down the league posts and paint over the lines. I don't understand

Not a big deal at all, just don't see the point of suddenly having a Saturday night match on the SCG, the night before an AFL match, when the SCG hasn't hosted two games of anything on one weekend for a long long time.

Added to that it's the last game of the AFL H&A season, could have been done at any other time during the year, or on any of the 13 other weekends that AFL is not being played there. Bit strange really.

What's not to like about it? This is close to the most bizzare thread I have ever read here.

Bizzare? right....commenting and having an opinion on how the SCG is being used this week is bizzare?

Apologies that it doesn't meet your obviously high standard of posting on this board.
