For us who can't make it to Perth!

Ok, i know AFL & NRL finals start this week, therefore getting the Swans v Eagles game on a big screen at a pub is far from a certainty in Sydney.

Anyone know of any good spots where we can go and the game will definitely be shown??

Alexandria Hotel (not suprisingly in Alexandria)

Big screen out the back, all screens in pub on Footie

Good cheapish food, owned by ex swan

I always watch big interstate games there if i cant go (if that is a recommendation !)

Yep - Alexy is the one. It's where you go when you can't 'go'.

I met Barry Round there a few weeks ago. He signed my mini maglite case that I won in the raffle.

          Nice of him that was.

          Real nice.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

                Neither, just helping the masses.

The guy who does own it makes a real effort though, so like to see it rewarded.

Well that was my course of action for the West Coast & St Kilda games last year and i think the neighbours want a break from me running around the front yard in my guernsey at 10:30pm at night going insane, so i'll do it at a pub instead and blame the alcohol!

BIG Thumbs down re Fox Studios.

You really only have two choices, its either the Alex or the SARC.

The Alexandria Hotel (Alexandria) is good and does get a turn out. The screen out the back is projected onto a neighbouring storey building and therefore is BIG. However getting in early is a must otherwise its standing room only and it is really a fine weather only option. Drink prices are a consideration also.

The Sydney Aussie Rules Club (Kings Cross) is a good option, they have a large projected screen up in the loft with extra seating dragged out for this time of year. Then down from that is a small level with a bar and a large screen TV, then down again another bar with tables and lots of small TV's up on the walls. Then you have the ground level but I never go there. It is a club so you will either need membership ($5.50 p/a IIRC) or a member to sign you in but that comes with the benefit of some very cheap drinks. They also have meals available.

Anyone in melbourne come down to The Anglers Tavern Melbourne if not going to Club red and white. I play in the band there on the saturday night and watching games on the big screen in the beer garden is awesome. Plus myself and the other singer/guitarist in the band are big Swans supporters !!!
