    Peter Hatley for PM

Peter Hatley (the guy at the front of Bay 31 of the SCG that leads all the chants) has decided to nominate for the Swans Board next year. He was giving out cards at half time on the weekend encouraging people to vote for him.

Having only missed 2 games in 15 years (both times due to being best man at a wedding), I cant think of any swans fan more deserving to be voted onto the Swans Board.

Im not related to him and quite frankly Peter probably doesnt even know me from a bar of soap, so Im not pushing any vested interest here. But if you are a Swans member, I encourage you to vote:

Apart from being a dedicated fan like the rest of us, what are his qualifications?

      Not trying to start an argument here but;

how does the fact that he has not missed many games qualify him for a board position exactly ?

Surely it has more to do with the skills he would bring to the job not his attendance at games !

So, what are his qualifications to sit on the Board of a business - and despite old romantic notions about sport, that's what it is - that has an annual budget of roughly $30m and a fairly unique set of operational requirements?

I don't doubt his fondness of the club. But I want quality minds on the Board. If he's got it, spell it out . . .

Unless he's changed his mind in the last few weeks (since I last spoke to him) Peter is endorsing a candidate (whose name I forget - the same woman he endorsed at the last elections) rather than standing himself.

He's got a card to hand out. What more does one need?

Having the piece of paper in front of me, yes. Your above post is correct. He is only endorsing a candidate.

Same test applies. Who is the candidate and what are the qualifications?

Yeah, her name is Katheryn. She was handing out flyers at the MCG when we played Melbourne. I think Katheryn is on RWO herself.

I'll SMS him to get on RWO asap so he can clarify everything.

                          So a man with a card endorses a woman with a flyer . . . well, that's a compelling case to me

I'll reserve judgement until Bon's dad can give me the low-down.

                              Thank god for that.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
