I'd vote for anyone who is able to demonstrate that they have skills and experience that would add to the running of the Sydney Swans Football Club.
Unfortunately, ex-players, and most supporters don't fit that bill.
You can be as passionate as you like about the Swans, not having missed many games over 20 years and that doesn't qualify you for the board (maybe gets you in the middle of the circle at the end of the games in the dressing room and allows you to throw your arms in the air singing the theme song and make an idiot of yourself every week on national TV) but that's about it.
*side note* - that was a pretty long sentence.
Having said all that, I don't really believe in the public/supporters being involved in election to football boards, so yes, I would would vote for you, just for fun
