    Hmmm.

Clarkson offers a one year deal and views a demand for a longer contract as a lack of commitment?

Let the Spida for Swans debate roll (again).
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

His value to us now has deteriorated given Donkey Doyle is actually on the park and coming good. Yes, he's a crock, but he's a 25yo crock who's busting a gut to play and train, and not a 32yo injured journeyman who, whilst his skills are no doubt better, may not be worth the expensive hassle, given his history.

I have a feeling we won't be offering as much as we would've last year.

I think we should make a derisory offer as with Donk up and running again we don't need Spida as much as we used to.

We could risk waiting until the pre-season draft in which case we wouldn't need to deal with the Hawks at all.

Although Carlton are one club that desperately needs a ruckman and may get in before us.

I would go with the pre-season draft, I think Carlton will be priced out of the market. They could barely afford to hang onto Kouta.

only get him if it's for a bargain. we have two good ruckman, lrt and goodes in addition to a bunch of kids that are going to have another preseason under their belts.
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

I'm not surprised one bit. The young guns are starting to mature and Spida hasn't had much impact on their success late this season. The Hawks are shaping up to be a good side and don't need Everitt in the ruck anymore...

They also won the last 4 games without him.

Obviously we have made an agreement, why else would you turn down a contract unless you had a better one?

Once we pick up Gardy we will dominate the ACTAFL.

We could just plonk Donk is the goal square couldn't we?

At least that may encourage some players to kick long occassionally?
