Keeping the Cortinas on the Road

?The Swans believe they have found the balance between push and tear, not just with muscles but tendons, ligaments and bones.?

?Of the 40 players who appeared in the two grades each round in 2005, there were 120 player games missed. This year, that number is down to 87?.

We have all assumed that our club's injury prevention methods just helped in minimising soft tissue injuries. Apparently, not so.
I guess the only exception has been that old XJ8 Jag - I hope the good Dr has found this auto's secret and it continues to run sweetly for the next month.

Luck is obviously a factor in certain types of injuries - for example, I don't think any amount of preventive care would have helped Nathan Brown of Richmond. At the same time there is such a thing as making your own luck, and apparently the medical and conditioning staff are doing better than some others (Collingwood last year? Adelaide this year? Maybe.)
Incidentally Royboy, I was thinking about your sig - all too true at times, but there are also the instances when you pay megabucks and get gorillas, and I don't mean full forwards!
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
