BUT, we should always remember what Eric Cantonas did when a West Ham fan abused him a couple of years ago. With the likes of Jeff Farmer still playing, we do still have players who could lose it a la Cantona.

I cannot stand the great majority of WCE supporters mate. I have good reason to dislike them, having been over there a couple times.

I judge a club by its supporters. Hence there are clubs I like more or less dependant on how I view their supporters.

Eagles supporters are on the whole obnoxious arrogant thin-skinned cocky & extremely sooky when they lose. Even the barman at the Irish club said that you can't have a drink with Eagles fans after the game because they'll be unbearable when they win & abusive and hostile when they lose.

Footy is about emotion & feeling to me mate. Hence forth most of the adjectives alluded to above are emotive in nature.

I'd say hating someone purely because they follow a particular team is akin to hating someone because of their sexual orientation.

My observations were not based solely on one team, but an observation on nearly every post your write, albeit AFL, A-League, etc, etc, etc,etc,etc.
