I don't really think so. I think Malceski and Davis are the two best kicks inside 50 in the team and they're much the same.

Having Malceski playing well also allows Kennelly more opportunity to get involved and he had a very good game last night.

Malceski and Kennelly off half back give us fantastic drive.

I thought last night was the making of him. He is all class.

Most of Mal's possessions were very telling, and he had a hand in a lot of those crucial goals and contests in the last qtr and a half.

Coming of fthat knock from Chick made his performance all the more impressive.

His disposal was very good and he got a reasonable amount of the ball from relatively limited game time.

I think that Davis is a better kick than Malceski. I think that they are both very good. I'm not sure what the problem with saying that is? Maybe I should make up some nicknames for people, so that I can yell them out at the footy and show what a true fan I am - would that make me a better contributor?

Eski's our future captain in waiting.

A lot of his footy brain thinking come from his time as assistant coach in the 2's when he got injured so I think that's helped heaps.

He definitely doesn't look like a rookie when he's playing. His disposals in kicking, tackling, hemming in opponents just reminds me a lot of Maxfield at his best, only probably even better actually coz Mal actually has legs to run off from.

I wanted that @@@@** Chick's neck when he did that late bump..

The whole attitude of West Coast in playing rough (eg on Magic when he was doing his warmups) was just absolutely stupid, and was no way that even had the Eagles won, it wouldn't have been a deserved one.

I think though that Dempster's 60metre boots from def-to-off-50 2-3 weeks ago showed us his boot though.

Whereas Kennelly seems to get deeper in defence and run off, Malceski appears to run forward to get a lot more possession around centre. So Kennelly is running with the ball up to centre and Malceski is running from and through centre, hence the perception/reality that he delivers deep to the forward line.

He looks good because he's direct & efficient. He could teach some senior backmen about the KISS theory.

Like Ivan Reitman, Eski is genius.

Until last night, I had thought that playing him off the HBF was just part of his apprenticeship: you know, the 'give him a variety of tasks beyond just being a midfielder, make him a well-rounded player' kind of thing. But last night for the first time it dawned on me that it's an actual deliberate game tactic to have twin runners off HBF. And a very good tactic at that.

But did anyone else notice that he didn't hit the match-winning pass right? It floated in a very strange way, but he still has such good leg-speed through the ball that it went more-or-less where he was aiming it and travelled in the way that defenders hate-- fast and flat, with a late dip. If it had been a perfect end-over-end drop punt, the Weagle's punch probably would have gone somewhere very different, and we might not all be sitting here today.

How quickly we forget. Maxfield was fast with speed to spare at his best. Good comparison otherwise. Both with a brilliant penetrating left foot.

                            I think you'll find it's "Cheeenious".

Jeffers, I was going to create the same thread with the exact wording, and I even looked twice to see that I didn't.

Poise, decision making and disposal were very good. Coming back after the hit was tremendous too. Good comparison with Maxy - however Eski with 10cm on Maxy has an extra string to his bow.
