Oh right, here's a review of some Mac Torrent clients

The number of user-friendly, appealing BitTorrent clients available for the platform are very few in comparison to the number of those available for Windows. In this article we will highlight the most popular Mac BitTorrent applications and compare their features.

I hit record then settled in to watch it before the Pies/Doggies game yesterday and realised the video channel was set on 9, meaning I'd taped a stupid league game.

With just a little bit of luck the game might be available as part of the Premiers 4-pack this year (and I dont mean a Weevils one)

Qual Final, Prelim, Grand Final and Season Highlights

Fingers crossed...I wont even mind pay full price this year

Thanks - hopefully I get it by then - at 74% downloaded and I will keep seeding for the rest of the week.

              Wow.

Nice one ugg. I'm actually downloading at 750kb per second. That's the highest.
lowest is still about 350k which is fast...

EDIT: Down to 100. Oh well. Still only four hours or so.

I was trying this torrent thing last week (thanks Graystar!), but I couldn't get it going. If I understand correctly, I need a fixed IP address. I don't have that one of them, but I'm moving house soon and may request one from the ISP. Or maybe I'm mistaken.

Anyway, I've ordered the Name a Game DVD for now and I will sit by the postbox until it arrives.

You don't need a fixed IP. Only fixed for the time you are actually downloading. I have a dynamic IP from cable provider but it doesn't change that often.

Sometime it is firewall settings etc which can stuff things up. Azureus has a good wiki which explains all the basics which applies to all clients.

Yeah uTorrent kicks butt. They're way faster than any other client I've used and much less resource intensive. I don't know how they do it but its fantastic.

OK, cheers for that. I'll try again. The other place I got stuck is this port forwarding part, because the router is actually in my landlord's flat upstairs (wireless network) and the instructions seem to be router-specific.

While I am a web programmer by profession, I have to admit network stuff baffles me and I couldn't find anywhere to forward ports. Anyway, my motivation is high to get this going, so I shall battle on Bloods-style!

You can watch and still seed. with seeds I always let them go until I reach at leas a one for one quota. It's the nice thing to do

If you are lucky try Azureus with the UPNP plugin. If the router has UPNP turned on Azurues can configure the port forwarding automatically.

Ok so i have the file. I tried to start watching it but it has these black flecks running through it. I am trying to play it on a DivX player which I downloaded from the site my quicktime took me to when I tried to open it.

WTF is going on? I have hope......
