    Plonk The Donk

During the game thread Bart was calling for a bit of action from Donk. Boy did he deliver in the best possible way!

For those that missed it, Cousins was running riot, he was taking a running shot at goal. Donk comes in trying to make the smother, the west coaster got the shot away, but then Donk's momentum took him though Cousins.
Donk didn't line him up, he wasn't even tucked up, but when 100kg of ruckman runs into a grassburner at full speed . . . . . .
For those who taped the game, there was a sensational angle of it in the after-game highlights.
Cousins body just stopped dead, his head was thrown forward by the momentum. Then he was thrown back landing hard on the ground.
Next thing you know Cousin's is on the sidelines trying to remember how to breathe. It's not a goal, a mark, a kick or a tap, but it certainly influenced the game.

    Re: Plonk The Donk

As someone who last year would have been happy to trade a first rounder for Everitt (but this year have moved to max 2nd rounder, if at all) it is the most pleasing aspect of the past couple of weeks, to see the donk put together a series of solid games.

I've mentioned this before, but I recall Kelvin Templeton interviewed about the most exciting young talent he seen at his time at the Swans and he nominated Stephen Doyle.

Huge fan of Doyle's and whilst he will never have the mobility of say Cox, can develop into one of the Swans most importnat players over the next few years.

Plonk the Donk in the GS too (if required) and he could create problems.

    Plonk the Donk !
