Originally posted by dimelb I don't want to lose any of them, but the one who could really hurt us at another club is (IMO) Moore.
The person who would hurt us the most at another club is Longmire.
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun. Blessedare the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.
What was strange about CBolt was that Brisbane just let him walk, when he was eminently tradeable (not that he would necessarily have commanded a huge price, but it would've been better than nothing).
Most likely CBolts on current Sydney list:
1. Moore (less likely to go than little Willo, but would be more likely to hurt us if he did)
2. Little Willo.
Schmidt and Vogels are going nowhere.
While I have great respect for the way Spriggs has gone about his footy in 2006, he's already 25. He would be only a remote chance to get picked up by another AFL club, albeit a fairly good chance of becoming a regular pick if he did/does get picked up. But he doesn't have the improvement in him to ever become a CBolt.
Scott Stevens, on a good day, is unworthy to stud CBolt's boots.
PS Excellent point, Annie. John Longmire is our true CBolt. C'mon John, you don't want to work for those self-satisfied, insular backbiters at the Saints. Anyway, there'll be a senior coaching vacancy at the Roos soon enough (if you're prepared to take a huge pay cut).

I expect Willoughby to be cut at the end of the season. Whether any other club would be interested in him, who knows. Maybe as a rookie.
Originally posted by ugg How about Buchanan if he keeps improving at his current rate? We did delist him.
And it's important to remember that every other team had multiple chances to take him before we picked him up again at pick 45. Some of 'em would be feeling a little foolish right now. (And that's apart from the chance they had to take him in the 2000 draft.)

If Sydney doesn't want little Willo any longer, I believe that he's likely to be tradeable. Especially to one of Adelaide or the Paaaaaahr.

Considering he trained at Carlton for about 2 weeks, they obviously didn't see much in him. Maybe he was foxing.
