    D Bradshaw.

In yesterdays HS, the report card for the Lions had Bradshaw as potential Trade Bait.

    1) Would we want him?

    2) what would we give up for him?

I think there are other clubs who need a half decent key forward more than we do and ought to be prepared to pay more.

eg Saints with Gehrig maybe on his last legs; Richmond with Richardson nearing the end; West Coast with, well with...

I think he'd be better value to the Dogs than Aker would too, since they already have lots of Aker types but having a true tall target could be the missing link. Or he could shore up their defence instead.

If O'Loughlin were on his last legs (recent history says not) he would be the perfect replacement for him.

How old is he? I'd assume about 27-28?

He very definitely is 27-28...27 now, 28 in November

My first instinct was yeah, lets go for him...but I tried to put together a team with him in it...and I just couldnt structure a forward line with him - and Barry, Micky, O'Keefe, Davis plus then start to make room for the likes of Grundy

i.e. to pick up Bradshaw we would probably have to hold Heath back a few years

I agree with Liz..the Dogs would get more value from him than they would from Aker. How good would he be with just one-on-one contests rather than the one-on-three he has at the moment?

I was able to sneak in lots of hyphens in that post. Yea baby.

Dogs have this bloke called Luke Darcy who could be a key forward.

Saints perhaps would be a good match.

If we got Bradshaw, we'd have to in all good grace put Grundy up for trade.

I reckon he'd kick 100 goals with the eagles

I agree that we don't need that type as much as some other types. And that other clubs could benefit more than we would. Which means we probably wouldn't pay the price.

That would be a very aggressive trade by Brisbane. He kicked a lot of goals this season and is "only" 28. Well, interesting to see if it happens.

You know, i could see that happening.

I don't think we are in the right position to trade for him, we're still working out some potential future key players and he's got a limited shelf life.

Arrrrgghhhhhh.... don't let him go there, the only thing stopping them is their forward line!
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

We have an oversupply of forwards and enough senior players I reckon.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Don't forget that Bradshaw has really only been playing as a forward since Johnathan Brown has been injured. Previously he played mostly at CHB. That said, I'm not sure what he offers us other than a bigger body.

He has been playing as a forward the majority of his career IIRC. Lepisch (spelliing?) held down CHB. Bradshaw has played almost entirely as a forward since Lynch retired.

I am happy letting Grundy grow into a full time role. Bradshaw can head off to victoria I think.

Grundy has shown that he can compete at top level. Stick
with youth and let Bradshaw go elsewhere.
