What the game against Italy did to kill soccer enthusiasm in Oz, the Swannies-Weagles PF did in reverse for AFL. A mate of mine in Sydney is hard core rugger bugger but was going to be in Perth last weekend on holidays. I was in Canada so he decided to assume my identity and get a member's ticket to the Subi game in my name - he took his son.

Before the end of the game he was texting that he'd never experienced anything like it. After the game he was ecstatic. By the time I flew home he was begging for a ticket to the QF. He's coming. So, after years of saying "what are you on about with the Swannies and AFL?" he's seen the light.

Even AD said in the Hun today that the game was one of the best he'd ever seen. Ever.

I'm glad I put my bet in when the Swans were 26:1 for back to back flags.

It's a good time of the year alright.
    Welcome home David........

It's the other way around. We played the Weagles in QF and your buddy wants tickets for PF.

He was in the Northern Hemisphere, every think works the opposite way up there.

My wife has only been to a game with me twice.
                1. SCG R10 in '98. STK: 24.10 (154) SYD: 8.5 (53). It was a cold wet night & the biggest loss I've witnessed.
                2. Homebush R21 in '03. We lost & happened to sit in front of some not-so-friendly extra large female pies supporters.

She refuses to ever go again. I'm happy for it to stay that way.

Maybe she's worried that you have become a homosexual .... well?

My wife is a great cook, a very good mother, a wonderful wife, but I take out the rubbish and do the washing. It works for us and I ain't letting her go.

BTW in her first year as a Swans member, she cheered them home to a premiership too!!!!
