McPharlin in doubt and could be investigation

into the felling of McDonald behind play. McPharlin has hurt his ankle and may not play in the prelim final. Would be a bonus as MJ might have to be used as a stopper rather than a freewheeler. Or they could recall Polak who hasn't played much senior football recently to play a key defence role.

Josh Carr - will be no investigation - will get off. Scwabb missed out on I think the 89 GF because of suspension. Seems the match review panel will only suspend if absolutely forced to

    Nothing will come of it

      Freo lad here,
News at this end of the world is that Mcpharlin only rolled his ankle and could have come back on if needed, he is a near definate starter this week.
The only footage the AFL have of the "off the ball incident " is so grainy that you can even tell which player it was ( AS IF it would have been anyone other that Bogan josh!) so looks like any investigation is going to be void. ( mind you some of the stuff that the "tribunal" is coming out with these days...He'll probably get 6 weeks.)
Hope the game is a ripper , I've got a soft spot for your blokes , any squad that makes @@@@s out of the Weagles is O.K by me.
      GO FREEEOOO!
If the Wiz didn't play for us , i'd Think he was irritating too!

I would be ropable if any swan got suspended based on that grainy footage.
As Reggi said "nothing will come of it."

Hard to believe that with 400 cameras covering each game not one got a difinitive look at the incident.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

400 sounds an awful lot. I would have thought 40.

But agree they should have still picked it up.

I was exaggerating Captain. Then again I've been told a million times to stop doing that.

Edit: Oh my goodness look at my post count. That can't be good

Doc Larks reported in today's sun that Mcpharlin is in alot of doubt seeing that his ankle hasn't progressed much since friday & the flight to sydney is only going to aggrevate it.

This indicates that he'll be there. This appears more hesitant on the face of it, but once you look in detail it's still no more than a 'sprained ankle'. It may puff up a bit in the flight, which will presumably be >48 hours before the game, but so what? They still basically fix themselves. Can't recall the last time someone missed a game because of a 'sprained ankle' if no structural damage was done.

If it's all lies and he has done some structural damage to his ankle, then naming him, flying him over & then leaving him out at the last minute would upset the Freo defensive structure more than it would upset our plans. So not worried either way.
