I don't think the Weagles played that well at all. When you look at it, the Dogs gave them every possible opportunity (other then handing them the ball) then were forced to defend frenetically.

Yet the Weagles still couldn't make them pay on the scoreboard until the final quarter.

I think they're in for a shock next week.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Hammo ... can you tell that to the chardy set who sit in front of me??? C'mon mate, you gotta back me up!!
Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

The chardy set won't know what hit them... let them try to stand in the way of 70,000 people in red and white...

Pity he didn't do something this week that would have got him off for the next two. Oh well.
The thing about Hunter I find frustrating as an opposition supporter is that you never know where he is playing. He plays as a defender, yet you always see him popping up into the forward line & getting into free space. He is good for 3-4 goals a game. For a team with an often spluttering

Lynch is very erratic. When he is off his game he is terrible. Also on a game last last Saturday he was made to look a million dollars because of the distinct lack of pressure applied by the attack-minded running onball brigade of the Dogs.

The thing that worries me about the Eagles this time around are all the players returning into the fold. Players such as Embley Kerr etc etc. We just beat them before. And I'm sure Worsfold learnt alot about what went wrong defensively as well from this match.

Despite all this they only lost by 1 point. So it wasn't as if the have no change in rectifying things. Yes, they worry me. But so do Adelaide, our bogey team.

But we still have to beat a Freo team with nothing to lose on Friday. So let's all not get ahead of ourselves. We are NOT in the Grand Final yet. so let's stop thinking we are. We still are yet to win at Homebush with a crowd over 50000. And don't necessarily perform well when the spotlight is on us either. (Remember how 'unbeatable' Essendon were in 99 kids-ask Norris Lurker about that night when you get the chance! )

JF (getting a sick feeling thinking of the @@@@ we'd get from the Blue & Gold scum if we lost the Big One )

I really shouldn't be replying to posts as narky & facetious as this.

But I will be use the megaphone for chanting & singing purposes only.

I can give the umpires a gutfull without a megaphone quite well enough.

                    JF

PS:- When you hear me start up on the megaphone, please join in. It is pretty embarrassing having 80000 looking at me thinking "look at that bloke. What does he think he is trying to do?"
