    Freeo's Travel plans

    Does anyone know when the Dockers come to town? I'm just interested in their planning since I heard some one on WLF say they were leaving on Thursday.
    If they are travelling on commercial domestic that means they get three choices of departure and arrival times
    leave on the Red Eye express (around midnight) and get here at 5.30 AM (a horror !!)
    Leave at 5.30 Am , arive at noon (Really disruptive start)
    Leave around noon and arrive before 7.00am
    The best flight is the last one, but it means they get here at dinner time , and go to bed, two hours out of whack . They get up on Friday, go out to have a run on Telstra, find out the real joke about the surface and four hours later they play the reigning Premiers who came from just across town.

    Has any one in Freemantle thought this out or am I just hoping they dont know what they are doing?

    PS One of the Dockers interviewed last night said "I havent actually been on the ground at Telstra but we've seen it before . It's just next to the SCG and we see it every time we go past."

    Is it too much to hope that they turn up at Aussie stadium??

      I'd imagine they'll be flying over on Wed. Have a training run at the ground on Thurs before the game on Fri.

              that makes more sense but it's still a hard trip. It's harder coming this way than going to Perth.
              Has anyone thought of the Psyche of the Dockers? They have achieved their Holy Grail (Won a final) and they have beaten the Weegirls twice at Home, in One year!

              If they beat the Swans and go to the GF only to be beaten by the in form Eagles (and they would) all the glory would disappear.
              Is it possible that they dont have a lot to play for on Friday? They are only 11 years old and their only real hungers were to beat the Weegirls at Subi and win a Final in front of their home crowd.

                  Even now they are talking tough. But I think the edge in mental toughness lies with the Swans. Home ground, etc, etc. We are deserved favourites but as always it's a game we could lose.

                      I wouldn't count on it. Why wouldn't try and have third attempt to win over Eagles. That would be sweet for them as well. No, don't underestimate them.

                              I would not dare to underestimate anybody. Hey, I was nervous before the Carlton game. But who knows what doubts lurks in the hearts of men playing their first prelim , against the reigning Premiers, who were the last side to beat them in the Home and Away, and they are playing on a ground they have never seen before , dont even know where it is.

                                          Does anyone else think it a little rough that Freo have to play the most important game of their history on a ground they've never played on?

                                          I guess there's not really an alternative (BAU Freo/Swans games couldn't justify Telstra status) but I do feel a tiny incy bit for them.

                                                      Not as if they have to face us at the ground we train and play most of our games at either.
