I know it's stating the obvious, but lets not get ahead of ourselves, a la St Kilda.... Memories of the last prelim at Telstra are far too strong.

I've been making GF plans all week, and every now and then I have to stop myself and think "We have to win it first". I just thought it would be a useful thing to remember.
I got so excited after getting through this morning, when I calmed down I realised that we actually need to win the game first.
I have found a hotel in Melb that allows a 24 hour cancellation. I have found most require 2 weeks during GF week.Comment

Yep. I felt a bit silly this morning worrying so much about GF tickets. If we win it'll be fantastic because you won't have to worry about it then, but it won't be fun if we lose.
I'm pretty nervous about playing Freo. I think they're a good, even side. Also, we don't seem to play them very often. We've played West Coast 5 times since the middle of last year and Freo only twice. Although I am very glad it's not Adelaide this weekend, considering our recent form against them.Comment

I can't believe it how much fuss everybody is making about GF tickets and yet teh Swans need to win it on Friday to get there. Freo is not to get pushed around if that's what everybody is expecting. Personally, I'm not making any plans for GF until after the Friday night's game.Comment

Everything I have booked can be cancelled without hassle, however if I left it to Saturday morning, it would cost me around $300 more than it did when I booked it all. To me that is worth planning in advance.Comment

i'm not yet even announcing a repeat of the bbq i held at my place last year because if the swans get in i'll get 40 people and if they don't i'll get two. i clearly need new friends....then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i knowComment

This has all felt very weird, like we HAVE already made the grand final having to arrange tkts etc. It has made me feel more and more uneasy about Friday's game!
I just booked my Melbourne accomodation for the Friday and Saturday night (with cancellation possible if we miss out), however, I would suggest everyone book something quickly as a) There is limited rooms available in the city and b) the price is going up quickly being a long weekend as well.
Having said that though, there will be 2 interstate teams cancelling accomodation over the next weekend so more rooms will open up.
Flights are the next thing...Swannies for life!Comment
