He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

        Gary Brice
        Graham Teasdale
        Tony Morwood
        Paul Morwood
John Rantall (second time around when he broke the club games record)
        Barry Beecroft
        Barry Round
        Barry "Lurch" Goodingham

I'll probably think of others later. Teaser's was the first number I had on my back, but when he left the 20 was changed to a 21.

Mark Bayes was my first favourite player and I have retained an irrational loyalty to which every player has no. 30 on his back.

Paul Kelly made an immediate impact as I was thrust into the role of defending him following one of his first games in the Ansett Cup. My Carlton supporting friends insisted from that point forward that PK stood for poor kick. The 1995 Brownlow was sweet.

Big soft spot for Dunks, Luffy and any other seemingly footy misfit.

Love Kirky, though I am fully aware of his footy limitations.
          oh well, maybe next time......

Gee - thinking back to when I was really young and my favourites were almost solely influenced by my Dad and big brother:

                Barry Round
                Rod 'Tilt' Carter
                Tony Morwood
Silvio Foschini (?spelling) was devestated when he jumped ship
                Bernie Evans
                Stevie Wright
                Teaser
                Mark Bayes

Bernie Evans I used to wear 15 back in my Footy days and its still my lucky number, I can remeber as a kid telling my best friend that if he ever left Sydney I would go for the team he played for, my mate was a one eyed Carlton supporter so you can imagine how shattered I was when he came around and told me that Bernie was going to play for the Blues............still stuck with the old Swannies in reality even at a young age I couldn't imagine going for another side.

                  Also liked

                  Gerard Healy
                  Greg Williams
Shane Fell (wow he was a revalation at FF for a couple of seasons)
                  Cressa
                  Plugger

Modern Day O'keefe would be my favourite the best Half Forward in the business.

Like many others who have posted here, I always loved watching Mark Bayes, David Murphy and Rod Carter in the late 80's.

In the 90's it was Andrew Dunkley, Paul Kelly and Tony Lockett .

Of the current players I really enjoy watching Adam Goodes, Craig Bolton and Brett Kirk give everything for the team.

                    Cheers

I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
