    The insight of Ben Mathews

Telstra is an interesting ground. It is a smaller playing surface and a fraction longer than the SCG. The bonus for us is that we play good footy there and we?re looking to use that to out advantage, but at the end of the day it still comes down to which side plays the best footy.

There are four posts at each end, and you?ve got to kick the ball through them as many times as you can?

I wish players wouldn't discuss strategy in the media prior to a big match. There goes our "you've never played here" advantage over Freo.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

So to win we need to score more than the opposition. We spend too much money on coaches.
..And the Swans are the Premiers...The Ultimate Team...The Ultimate Warriors. They have overcome the highly fancied Hawks in brilliant style. Sydney the 2012 Premiers - Gerard Whately ABC

The frightening thing is that those thoughts were a full day's work for Benny.

Above is the winning banner entry that the Swans will run through on Friday night, all thanks to Ben Matthews.

Probably had time to think of this while he is holding the ball deciding to which opposition player he is going to kick it to.

Genius. If that haiku isn't team-lifting, I don't know what is.

If it does not rhyme it does not go on the banner, Japanese high art or not. You are allowed to use the word haiku, but only if you use it to rhyme with Robert Walls - Fnck you!

Ummmm I'll take us kicking the ball through the middle ones say 15 times to Freo kicking it through the outside ones 50 times thanks Benny.

                            I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

                              hahaha... *sigh*

Ben matthews... a few too many hits to the head, but none of them hard enough for you to make way for a Swan who won't give away as many frees and make as many clangers.

Unlike the other players who used to be picked on for such things, who have now definately made good (think LRT, and IMO, MOL too.), I am still waiting for Ben matthews to be dropped.

And before you jump on me for the MOL comment, I promise I will never again yell "RETIRE" whenever he gets the ball. I have now forgiven him for last year considering his effort against the weagles. I wholeheartedly repent!
~ Err.. No thanks.. But your car's hot! ~
