And more importantly who will be doing the team thing and going out to blow whistles, bang drums and run up and down the hotel corridors wearing nothing but pots and pans?
Where are Freo staying?

I think we can hire some Uruguayan supporters to do the job for us. Just dial 1800-F-E-R-A-L-S.Official Driver Of The "Who Gives A @@@@ As The Player Will Get Delisted Anyway" Bandwagon.

No. Its the hotel the AFL always uses in Sydney. Go there on a Saturday night before a Sunday afternoon game and you'll see all the opposition players hanging around.Originally posted by ROK Lobster

Part of me likes the Lobster's thinking. Seeing those Uruguayans dopily running around in extra time was something that continually gives me a chuckle. It was deliberate gamesmanship that definitely WORKED!
But that was aimed at a team whose supporters had treated our team with the utmost disrespect upon our arrival into their country. A team we as supporters felt vindicated in giving some of our own back to.
Should Freo be treated in the same vain? To be honest I don't think they do. What have they done to us; nothing really. Hence organising a campaign to keep them awake would be considered as highly highly poor form. And would only help make us as unpopular to Dockers fans as we already are to Eagles supporters.
Let's let the team out on the field decides who will win the game. Let's hope the better team wins on its own merits.

PS:- If we play the scummy Eagles in the GF, anyone interested in organising a Saturday 4am 'welcome party' please PM me!

Mate, don't get me started on that little episode in Montevideo. The 'greeting party' were actually a group of notorious 2nd division 'hinchas' hooligans who were HIRED (YES, HIRED!) by the head of the Uruguayan TV channel who had the rights to the World Cup in Japan & Korea. He wanted to protect his investment (ie World Cup TV advertising space), so paid them out to throw us completely off our game as soon as we hit town. It worked.Originally posted by Jeffers1984

I read they were staying in Parramatta (like many rugby sides do) close to homebush and stops the wanders around the Opera House
Hopefully a few of the AFL haters out west will set upon them!

They are staying at the Park Royal at Parramatta. Walked past 5 of them (inc Josh Carr, Heath Black) last night as they were leaving the hotel to go for a walk - pretty dangerous thing that time of night in Parra. Innocent country boys in the big city.Originally posted by mja

No point banging drums or making noise outside their hotel. You won't compete with the hotted-up car exhausts, squealing tyres and general punch-up noise from nearby Church Street.Comment

I still reckon they should have been diverted to the Formula 1 on the Hume Highway.I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..................
