my friends and I have a ritual before big games - have to have pancakes for breakfast for Goodsey - last night I was having nightmares I couldn't get pancakes anywhere; sounds stupid but it was really distressing. So yes, i'm running on not much sleep....

I know exactly what you mean! I am having Grand Final dreams again.
Wed night I dreamed the game was at rosehill race course
last night I dreamed that I was tossing the coin at the grand final Both sides of the coin I had were heads - I was trying to signal to Baz to call heads but he didn't get it.

          NO MORE SLEEPIES!!!!!

I fell asleep watching the footy show last night (about 1am). Woke up at 4am with tv and lights blaring.
I just wish today would hurry up a bit more.

I can never stay up late enough to watch the footy show, I went to bed about 20 mins into the NRL Footy Show...

I've been counting down the sleeps until tonight as well!

It's getting harder and harder each year to stay up late to watch it.

It's a beautiful day outside today here in Sydney ... they reckon about 30deg. I hope it gets noice and muggy for the quokkers ... they're not used to that!!

HOPEFULLY @@@, TONIGHT WE'LL BE STARTING UP THE COUNTDOWN AGAIN!!! YAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!

Mate...I know what you're going through. I had one of those nervous dreams that got me up an hour before my alarm went off. I was so wired, it was almost as if I'd already had my coffee for the day.

For the record we were up 5 goals to nil when I woke up.

My demeanour this week has been strange. Contrary to what should be happening, being a finals veteran these days, I have been verging on being sick with nerves.

Today my really unpleasant gut-wrenching nervousness has abated. I was on the train in my Swans scarf polo & cap this morning. There were people in Swans stuff literally EVERYWHERE! This bloke was in his Swans rugby top and scarf and this old beanie oversized hand-made beanie with a pom pom on top. When he moved the pom pom would whinge around. The thing looked like a reggae beanie. Actually, a tea cosy for that matter!

I'm mega pumped. And weirdly relaxed today. All the organising & stressing is over.

There is no place in the world I'd rather be than here today!

Ugh, away match bus trips. Thank God I never have to do those ever again! I never used to sleep or anything. It was fun though coming home together the next day after a win though!

Then again, Viennaworld at 3am in Albury WAS definitely something to behold, you have to admit! (Try explaining the place to a rather bemused Austrian as well! )
