Sine I've been following the Swans, we've been in 4 Prelims - I've only been to one of them.....guess which one?

I think that's as big a hint as any!

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

Just got back from the ground and I'm still buzzing. Wasn't there a rumour that we play unattractive football. One thing that we do need to do is take our opportunities. Then again we created so many chances and took so many risks, mistakes were inevitable.

I though the whole side was magnificent. Good to see Davis do some nice things and that goal on 3/4 time was crucial.

And on the Dockers, they were magnificent. Contributed to a magnificent game of footy. Just ran out of legs at the end which contributed to the scoreline.

Sorry to be pedantic but the umpire paid it as a throw. I didn't think it was either a throw but if he was going to pay it it should have been for a deliberate (which it wasn't).

It was a good game to watch on TV, too. Freo made us earn it, I thought. They didn't drop their heads until they started to run out of legs at the end, which made it a good contest. I think they were even a little unlucky with a few calls going against them at critical times (a soft holding free to Hall in the third) but the Swans responded really well to the Freo challenge and played some attacking football of their own, which was great to see.

There was no let-up once the game was won, either. I remember a string of terrific tackles late in the game, when we were 30 points up.

O'Keefe was excellent. The Eski once again delivered beautifully into the forward line. I even called one of his pinpoint passes to MO'L in the 2nd quarter, just as the ball hit his boot. Davis looks like he belongs in the team again. Buchy really stepped it up in the last quarter.

It's different to last year, there's an air of confidence and expectation about the Swans since we have experienced success, typified by the cool reaction from the players on the field after the siren. We'll never get a better opportunity to go back-to-back, and I hope we take it. I don't know which was more strange, watching us qualify for a second successive GF from O/S after seeing us win it in the flesh last year, or just seeing us win comfortably in a big final that goes according to the script!

I don't know about you, but it's nice to follow a successful team, innit?

that was funny - saw it on the screen at the game but didn't see who trod on him - do any damage?

Also: How good was Monty tonight?

AFL.com are saying that Bucky may be in trouble for the late spoil on Cook. Should be nothing in it but with this Review panel anyting can happen.

There is no way that they would punish him by making him miss the GF for something like that. I'll bet my house that they wont suspend him.

Mate, I hope your right. This review panel is so inconsistent that you just never know. My guess is is that will hit him with a low grade charge and he will get off on an early guilt plea.

19 goals in a final - extraordinary by the Swans!

Is that our highest ever finals score??

I am a little bewildered by a few posters on here claiming the Swans played poorly and will get thumped next week. I'm with you Big Al. It wasn't perfect football - it was finals football, with all the associated pressure and tension.

Freo are a quality team who certainly took it up to Sydney after their slow start and some of their goals were magnificent. I thought they played better against us than St Kilda did last year. Sydney's ball movement was exquisite at times - yes there were some mistakes but often when they were taking risks - and to kick 19 goals against a quality opponent indicates a strong performance.
