    Ted

The interview with him after the game !!!!Does he normally talk like that or did he have his mouthguard in...he sounded very inarticulate. Maybe it had'nt sunk in that he was in a Grand Final instead of being a wooden spoon candidate.

I have a funny feeling it was the latter. He's really stepped it up in the last couple of months and it must be great for him to be playing in a GF in his first year since changing clubs (a la Darren Jolly last year).

    I'm on the Chandwagon!!!

If you cannot compete for the premiership, it's better to be young and exciting than middle-aged and dowdy.

We spoke to him at the family Day last year and he was very articulate.

He was quiet in the middle of the game, but in the furst and last qrtrs when he needed to be there he was. Only one mistake, the tap to Bell that resulted in a goal.

Thanks GS14 for the personal verification. The thing that amazed me was the speech didn't match the persona he projects so that was what made me think, "OMG what was that!!!"

Isn't it funny the expectations you have of people and sometmes they aren't met....like a character from a book that is made into a film and they are nothing like what you imagined.

Those who said 'his terminal softness will mean that he's targetted and shown up badly in finals' have been proved wrong twice now.

While the spike out of the ruck straight to Bell was a moment he'd like again, otherwise he did everything the team could ask of him. Not huge stats, but really made 'em count.

Ted is having a great year. My only concern with him is a lot of his marks arent one-touches. He does juggle them a bit, which can be exposed if his oponents it quick with the 2nd effort in the spoil.

I actually thought he was pretty ordinary tonight being at the ground. Perhaps I missed something... I saw two goals that he had a hand in giving away...

                    Perhaps you did.

Now I understand why you bagged our selection of McVeigh in the draft all those years back, if you think Richards was ordinary tonight, you are truly clueless.

Not quite sure where you were sitting but I thought he had a great game! far cry from the begining of the season - i'm definitely cheering and not jeering Teddy these days!

Come on don't get carried away with Ted...he deserves a pat on the back for the way he has contributed in the last couple of months (not the season)...& did a few nice things tonight...but if you ask me who we should worry about next week...IMO Ted, Dempster & Benny (though he did a few nice things also.).

I wonder what Sheedy thinks of Ted's development as a player this year?

Not that it made a difference in the end, but he shouldn't have spoiled what was going to be a Barry special on the goal line either.
