I'm a long-time Swannie and have often been disappointed by the behaviour of supporters from many other clubs. Last night, however, I thought the Freo's fans were truly honourable, good natured and best of all, good sports. While we were coming into the ground several were chirpy and wished us good luck for the game. Such a contrast to the disgusting drunken Collingwood and Essendon supporters (in OUR members areas too) we've come across on other occasions. Great stuff Dockers supporters, and take heart -- we were in a losing prelim final position against Brisbane a couple of years ago...it takes a couple of finals appearances before you're ready to step up, but it wont be too long before you hoist a premiership cup. I enjoy watching the Pav, Farmer and most of all, our Cookie...

Dear Swans/Bloods etc.

Congratulations on a good win. No answer to the likes of Hall, O'Loughlin and O'Keefe, plus the intensity in the middle. Proud of my boys however, and the experience will do them a great deal of good.

We respectfully ask for you to smash the living crap out of the Eagles this Saturday. Only you can stop them. We implore you. Please.

I spoke to several Freo supporters on the way in, and during, and after the game. All were very pleasant and told stories of wearing the Leo Barry masks at the derby earlier in the year.

I fully retract my earlier "Dirty Dockers" comments on the way they play and their supporters - I think I have a new 'second' team. Anyone who hates the weagles as much as us deserves some respect. I hope that in the future Freo gets to take the cup from the Weagles as well..
