I couldn't help thinking on the weekend both codes missed great opportunities for their respective sports. The AFL in scheduling a game in Sydney to conflict with an NRL prelim, although there wasn't much choice with two scheduled, which brings me to my second point, the NRL missed the opportunity to reward the minor premiers with a home prelim that wouldn't clash with any other event in Melb (unheard of) and actualy involved a local team in arguably the 2nd most important match in their history, instead of asking Vics to come out and see NSW play QLD, who could really genuinely give a toss down there? IMO had the Storm played in Melbourne they could have got 45-40K at the dome and had the swans played not against a League final we could have got 75K.
