What the other forums are saying...

talkingcarlton: ...as a team they are just incredible they had 2 pages in the age today just talking about their unity as a team, these guys are absolute champions and hopefully they will be rewarded with another premiership as they all play for each other they deserve it most.
eaglesflyinghigh: Guys after watchin that game - When the EAGLES win tomorrow they will easily deal with the scums!!
    saintsational: Sydney are Parasites.

They exist on our (Victorian) money.
They get all manner of extra handouts disguised in the form of marketing / game development grants.

They only made it into the top 4 in both years because (like other interstate teams) of their significant home ground advantage.
And again they are virtually injury free.
Last year their only injury was Maxfield.
This year their only injury is Crouch.

Plus some interesting reading on Baz.
Bomberblitz: The might not play the best looking football or the most entertaining, but my god I wish we were like them. They never, EVER give up, they are selfless and they play so hard for each other its not funny. If we played with the same spirit they had I wouldn't care if we lost every game this year, at least I would have known that we tried our best 100% of the time.
Awsome team, and after watching it all I want to do is go out, pull on the boots and be part of a football team again.
Powerfromport: I'm so happy to say that if the cows make the big one... Sydney are finalist experts, they will dismantle the cows game, and win the GF by 30 points.

If the Weagles make it, Sydney will do the same to them.

Im a Power man, but Swans will go back to back.

Is it any suprise its the Ealges and Saints ferals going mental as usual. Geez. I love the Swans, I'm a passionate supporter but i still have the ability to see things objectively - respect other teams etc. What is it with some of these Ealges and Saints fans that make them such arrogant whingers! You'd think that we'd shot their children and ravaged their wives!!!

But then I spose its worse than, that... we beat them to win a flag..

Quite rich coming from the Saints, don't you think.

They built up their entire team using draft picks while we couldn't use up all of our cap, so who's being the parasites?

LOL the most positive comments come from Carlton and Essendon fans...

It's amazing the respect we finally seems to be getting. Of course, we're also boring flooders but a lot of others finally seem to have sat and watched the two Swans finals for 2006.

The comment by the scum Saints supporter makes me hate them just a little bit more. They ENVY us so much. And we didnt have to finish with multiple wooden spoons to put together a premiership winning side.

Yeah, they got all the spoons, but no cups.

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

True that might be, but we were still the last side to finish with the spoon for 3 years running, 1992 to 1994. And in 1995, our 8 wins was as many in as those 3 combined!

But then again, we may have not made the finals in 1995, 2000 or 2002, yet in each of those three years we had a percentage of over 100.

IIRC 94 was the last time we ended in the red %-wise.

When are Melbourne fans going to understand that our "significant home ground advantage" means that we actually have to travel interstate far more often they they do. I think that of 11 "away games" the Saints had, 6 were actually played in Melbourne. How is that for a home ground advantage!. Plus, we won more games away from home than in Sydney this year.

Saints fans just don't get it.

Always making excuses for their pathetic club.

Forget about the Saints. They've got anger management issues & underperformance anxiety - and that's just their supporters.

It's good to see that many other people have moved on from seeing us as lucky & giving us credit for having spirit. Never thought I'd see the day that Essendon would be in awe of the Swans. Priceless!
