Bevan was seriously embarrassed when named BOG. I was standing less than 3 metres from him when announced and he was dumbfounded.

Spoke to a certain injured player before the announcement and his considered opinion was, and I believe that of the coaching staff, Sam Rowe was BOG.

I thought Thornton, Spriggs and Simpkins rounded off the bests IMHO.

The 'Where's Roosy's kids?' line when the group shot was taken was priceless.

Good form all those Syd based (and further) fans that made and effort and turned out to support the boys. The Belconnen supporters were really vocal!

My boys were going for Belconnen today - "it's where we live Dad, just coz you used to live in Sydney doesn't mean WE have to go for the Swans" - but I don't think they were the ones that upset you.

The Belcon boys next to us were ok. Just constantly bitching about the umpiring.

But being a Swannies supporter, I can understand that. lol

Did your boys have a good day ROK?

Yep, but were annoyed at not being able to have a kick at 1/2 time. Having a kick in the rain after full time made up for that though.

Yeah. Did anyone give a rats about that demonstration at half time? Having a kick would have been much better. I was dissapointed Erin didnt have a ball with her in the car!

Should have gone and got one out of Crouch's ute.

I felt sorry for Crouchie when I saw him hobbling around on his crutches today knowing hes gonna miss the grannie on Sat. Not that Im a big Crouchie fan, but still.

Pleased to report that I have now thawed out. Always expect the unexpected when it comes to weather in our nation's capital.

Was an alright game although the weather really affected the skill level and the flow of the game. I would agree that Rowe was one of the better players but I probably would have gone with Spriggs for BOG. He kicked a good goal when the boys were behind (to take the lead? or close anyway) and was a great leader for them.

Lets hope its 4 premierships in 2 years for the Sydney Swans - although 3 isn't shabby!
