    Winners on Saturday

Well we all know about LRT, Monty, Baz and Fossie being winners in the 2005 GF.

For our boys to take the 2006 title, who do you tip to take the game away from West Coast?

As a personal tip, I think Goodesy's quite game on Saturday might mean he gets a touch more space coupled with a steely determination to stand out again/crush a key WCE ball winner.

I also reckon Nick Davis is under the radar and none of that matters if ur playing rubbish, but he got some confidence back, this kind of guy who wants to star and this is the time to shine in the eyes of his peers and coaches (not the self-indulgent kind of star).

However, my smokey for match winning ala LRT in 2005 is Malcevski.

I also think Monty can recreate his heroics. He is about to cut loose big time. Ignore Monty at your peril. He is a match-winner in the true sense.

We've had plenty of laughs at his expense, including looking for a bookie on Friday night who would take odds at him missing from 15m directly in front. But nothing would give me greater pleasure than to see our own Donkey Doyle kick the winning goal.

The Eski is a good pick, but surprisingly, Davo could turn out to be a 'surprise' package.

Last year Pebbles had a relatively quiet GF after being BOG the previous week. Kasey Green ran with him but he won't be playing this weekend.

Can anyone recall who played on him in the QF? He was just reasonable for the first three quarters but let rip in the final term and was one of the reasons why the Swans got over the line. West Coast won't allow him to run unchecked, that's for sure.

I'm looking for Monty to have another good GF. He came back to form in a big way on Friday night, after a quiet few weeks. Maybe that's just because Fremantle don't rate him and hence didn't focus on shutting him down - he was excellent against them earlier this year too - but I have a feeling he likes the big stage.

Kennelly is my tip to have an absolute blinder though. No particular reason, just a feeling.

Banfield played on him for a while, (who could forget that punch!) but certainly not the whole game. Pre-game I thought Waters may have played on him but he started forward. With Hunter starting on O'Loughlin, my suspicions tend towards Brett Jones before Hunter moved forward and Jones went on to Magic.

Hally. No threat of missing a grand final if he goes over the top on someone and the week's break has him moving freely. One more big game from him in a grand final will have him placed amongst the greats. I think he will dominate. He'll probably get reported if there's some early action and could probably do with having a few weeks break at the start of next year. I just think he's really keen to assert himself and is in the form to do it.

If Monty is given the tiniest bit of latitude he will cut them up.
Once he gets the ball onto his left boot going into the forward
line he sets up scoring opportunites. He may not be a big name
                    but he can be lethal.

I think Baz could write himeself into grand final folklore. He's in awesome form and if he fires the flag is ours.

ROK may also explode as he's just in brilliant form and a superior player to last year.

If our midfielders hold theirs then I can't see West Coast having enough winners on the rest of the ground to win the game.

If one of our midfielders was to emerge a winner, I'd love it to be Luke Ablett - there is no reason why he couldn't star.

MOnty kicked 6 goals in theunder 18 grand final, years back. Would be wonderful to see him repeat that on the biggest stage of all.

As for others, Schnieder is due (could have kicked four last week except for crap kicking). I can see Ablett having a big one to atone for past wrongs. Ablett's 2006 has been damn impressive.
He had observed that people who did lie were, on the whole, more resourceful and ambitious and successful than people who did not lie.
