We don't care that much about Bogan League here.
Not having a NSW team in the Bogan Grand Final is a HUGE bonus for the Swans ... the WHOLE CITY is behind us now.
At the G last year, did you happen to notice how the WHOLE THING was a sea of red and white??
Funny thing about those Melbourne people, they'll back Sydney (being an ex-Melb team) BEFORE they even THINK about backing the wet toast egirls budgies.
    Cheep Cheep.
    I missed you too!

Yeah, funny how the vics hate us for being the first team to take the trophy out of their beloved state. ha ha ha ha haaa

Suits us just fine...we don't want nor need bandwagoners. The reason they hate us is becasue we're too good for their crap sides and they have to go right back in history in order to find some link to their crappy state to allow them to get some feeling out of September action. Good luck to them...

So if the WHOLE CITY is behind you now, does that mean the majority of Sydney people are bogans???

      Cheep Cheep.

The only 'cheep' about this is your post Annie (correct spelling "cheap").
You've been at every non-Swans registered member (some of whom were registered members before you were) for months now, unless they sing nothing but Sydney's praises.

      Give it a rest.

        God bless ya sweet ...

Well, if I were speaking in monetary terms, I would have used the term "cheap, cheap". As I was speaking about BUDGIES, "cheep cheep" is more the correct terminology I was after.

Thanks for trying to put words in my mouth anyhow. Thanks also for checking up on my spelling and grammar, have you applied for the job of being my full time spell and grammar checker yet?? The position is still open. It pays @@@@, but the position is there if you want it.

I believe I've only gone narky at someone (whether they follow the swans or not) in response to being narked at ... just like I (and most people) do in real life. Just because I can't see you, don't give you a right to be down right mean and nasty. Besides we are in a SWANS chatroom.

Other than that ... a bit of cross-country rivalry never hurt anyone, eh WestCoast1???

Wild speculation, unsubstantiated rumours, silly jokes and opposition delight in another's failures is what makes an internet forum fun.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones who let in the light.

            ..........................

but our midfield and defence were good enough to withstand the barrage.
This is the thing that worries me the most this year. I've thought our defence as being the only area we we have gone backwards compared to last year (could be wrong, I'd love to see an Idefensive50 vs scoring shots for both years as a comparison).

Man, you have a serious problem taking criticism.

Plus, as Dendol says, you have a serious problem with the excessive ratio of 'meaningless drivel vs intelligent insight' a.k.a rambling on.

BTW - I know what you meant by cheep. I was telling you the quality of your post was 'cheap'. But I guess you knew that didn't you.

Plus we had a far easier game mentally & physically than the Eagles did. As well as far far less flying too.

You can't tell me that that second half effort would not have taken a bit out of the Eagles players. Sure they won & show a tremendous amount of mental strength to overcome both the crowd & the deficit. But deep into the last quarter if the game is tight I just can't see him being as fresh as we will be.

The player we have to nullify is Adam Hunter. Lynch is very erratic & relies on the pristine service from guns like Cousins Kerr & Judd out of the middle of the park. Hunter also seems to wander upfield and take telling marks in the opposition's forward 50. Which more often result in goals. I see him as WCE's most dangerous forward. Because in theory he is still a backman.

Who do you reckon we should play on him?

The only time WC have even got close to Sydney away from Subi was last years Grand final, in which we blew chances (MOL kicking) and had a really hard run into the GF.

Sydney are simply a better team. The closeness is an optical illusion simple because we play them at Subi a lot.

If we kick straight we win its really that simple.

the 1st half of the eagles prelim gives me plenty of confidence - the pressure the crows put on the WC was similar to ours and they struggled to score.

the 2nd half was when the crows just stopped and i'm certain that our boys will be able to sustain our it for the whole 4 quarters.

roosy would be loving this underdog status we've got going into the game

I think you will find Danzar that Erin loves to ramble on about nothing quite frequently.
And the man who started it, the Schneiderman, can kick his third for the quarter. And the swans are in the Grand Final!

It is a myth that Victorians hate WCE. If you listen to Melbourne footy talkback most neutral supporters hope that it is a ripping game and really dont care who wins. In my job I talk to a lot of people every day and rarely if at all do I hear supporters saying they hate certain interstate sides. The rivalry here is still very much locally based.

The word hate hardly gets used in Melbourne in footy terms, but when you read Big Footy it seems to stand out like the proverbials that it is Adelaide and Perth people who have @@@@e on their livers.
