Craig Bolton has had an All Australian year and doesn't poll a single Brownlow vote!
"As everyone knows our style of football is defensive and unattractive, and as such I have completely forgotten how to mark or kick over the years" - Brett Kirk
Well there were a few queer results, and this is NOT meant to distract from Goodes' win as you don't win a Brownlow TWICE by chance, but did you notice the results of the Rnd 14 game.
Goodwin carved us up, had 30-odd possies, smashed Kirk to pieces - and didn't get a vote. He was a motza for BOG yet the umps missed him.
IIRC no defender has won the Brownlow (making statements like that, I'm asking for trouble), B2 does his job, and is a no nonsense footballer. I think he'll poll a few votes in the club b&f.

Read an interview with a Souths Brownlowist last week who won playing at FB - the diehards here will know his name. But he's a rare beast indeed.

Fred Goldsmith (South) - fullback 1955.
I thought there was one other too.

Wanganeen
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .
John James in the 60's played HBF for Carlton...& a Carlton CHB (name escapes me) won it some years later. Neil Roberts was St.Kilda CHB when he won it in 54 (from memory)...same year he was my PE Teacher at Boundary Road State School North Melbourne. There have been others also.
Re B2...I hope they keep missing him! He is hidden treasure!
IIRC he was a midfielder with Essendon when he won it.
