    as I passed B2 last night I grabed him and said "we all love ya mate"

    I think he appreciated te attention....and quite frankly I was drunk enough to give it to him

        There seems to be an unofficial handicapping system operating with the umps for Brownlow votes.
        In the case of midfielders, add 3 to the total votes.
        Forwards, subtract 1.
        Backs, subtract 3.
        He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

                        Yes - my memory was awry. I checked and he was an "attacking back pocket". Probably a prototype of what we see now, which is possibly why I was thinking of him being a midfielder.
