    Training Today

Went down there and acted the groupie, never been to training before. Quite few people (maybe 500-900) and a few of the boys stuck around after to sign autographs. Massive props too Davis Kirk and especially Goodes for sticking around and signing EVERYONES stuff. Amazing when you consider how many interviews etc Goodes would have done today.

Seemed a very very light session, but of a jog and a kick really.

Was Nicky D trying out a pair of gold boots in preperation for the big day?
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

He had some Green and Gold Reeboks. I asked him if he was going to try them on Saturday and he said maybe.

There was a young disabled girl beside me and it was her birthday, when Nick reached us she held out a birthday card for him to sign, then he said why isn't there any cake, I was so tempted to say she would rather KFC, but I stopped myself.

All of the players were very relaxed and friendly, it was a nice arvo

My brother and sister-in-law went and had a great time. Adam and Brett signed stuff. Marilynne is happy now.

Yep. I went along to the one last year, which was also on a Tuesday, similarly relaxed IIRC. Probably wouldn't be training too hard at this stage, you are not going to get any more match-fit than the week before a GF.
