A rumour starting to spread?

I have heard a little rumour that Chad Fletcher might be the unlucky Eagle to make way for Wirrapanda.

What do everybody think about that?

Fletcher's form in finals has not been the best but it's a huge call.

I reckon it would benefit us, if he didn't play as their is a question mark over Wirra going the distance and Armstrong the other player in the gun was very quiet last week.

It will be Banfield or Armstrong who gets dropped.

Either way it won't make too much difference. I hope Wirry comes back a week early.

Bingo Roscoe ... I'd LURV to see them play Wirra before he's really fit to do so. Gives us a another advantage (they're building by the minute!!).
Knowing how they suck at flooding their backline ... almost like a walk in the park on a sunny saturday arvo (you better turn the bloody sun on Melbourne!!).

Yes, I admit it, I've been watching last years GF to get in the right frame of mind for this weekend.

If there are any doubts over Wirra's fitness I think they'll play him in the forward line. I would if I were Woosha.

He is a bit of an X-factor down there, and they need that. If that is their plan, Armstrong could well miss.

At his best he plays the sweeper role in defence well, but Worsfold doesn't need a crystal ball to know that if he plays there, Roos will just rotate Schneider and Monty on him and instruct them to lay the pressure on thick and run off him hard when the Swans are attacking. Both are very good at this role and will exploit him badly if he's lacking fitness. Schneider, in particular, has improved his concentration and discipline greatly in this kind of role since last year, and has the skill to hurt the Eagles on the scoreboard too. Plus I would back him to beat Wirrpanda in the air more times than not.

If fact, it would be a fantastic outcome for us to see Wirra lining up in a back pocket.

I'd prefer Fletcher to play. He's an over-rated player who's riden on the coat tails of Cousins and Judd for too long. His disposal is poor and it can only benefit us if he plays.

I think that was more just some punditry on SEN, the argument was basicly as good as Fletcher is, he just can't handle finals pressure.
