To Cheersquad or people attending the game

    Hi everyone,

I have a request I wish to make. I promised my 16 year old son on saturday night that I would take him to the Grand final on Saturday, unfortunately he passed away on Sunday morning. He was ill ever since he was a baby and the most pleasing thing in his lif was watching the swans play. Would someone in the swans end please show a sign for him, just to let him know that we are thinking of him and love him. If anyone can do this my wife and I would be forever grateful. Also if any swans players read this go out and blow them away for him.
If anyone would like to contact me [email protected]

    I thank you.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Syd Swan.

Shattering news and a massive sense of perspective that Saturday is only a game of footy.

I for one have printed this off and put in in my wallet. Your heartfelt wish will be at the game and we will think of you.

Syd Swan, my prayers and thoughts are with you and your family on GF day.
      Vale Josh.

Mate, that is just tragic. It is at times like this where you just cease to care about footy, hey?

I'm in the Cheer Squad. PM me if you'd like me to do anything for you.

i can inform the club too if you like.

Yeah, it puts a totally different prespective on all things. Here we are all worrying whether or not Swans would win and yet life is not always fair to everyone.

My thoughts are with you and your family Syd Swan and I hope our players will make you proud on Saturday.

So sorry to hear your terrible news.

Certainly does put footy into a different perspective.

My thoughts are with you and your family at this horrible time and I hope this gives extra incentive for the Swans to win.

                Hello again everyone,

I guess all I am asking is that someone maybe hold a sign with his name so that he gets his fifteen seconds of fame, and while he is looking down he can see it.

JF i will pm you shortly.

To anyone that has emailed me I will try and reply Friday as I have to go and view his body for the last time. He will be buried tomorrow in his Swans 2005 premiership jumper and be laid to rest to the sounds of Cheer, Cheer the red and the white.

                Once again thank you all.
