    Bevan / Spriggs recall?

The Swans Reserves have won the AFL Canberra premiership two years running after beating Belconnen by 33-points on Sunday in cold and wet conditions.

    ...

Paul Bevan was the Swans? best and took out the Alex Jesaulenko Trophy with 14 kicks, seven handballs and eight marks.

    ...

David Spriggs was also good for the Swans with 23 possessions and nine marks playing on-ball. Spriggs had a consistent year as the Swans Reserves? captain and won the Mulrooney for the best player in the competition.

The only possible change I can see for the GF might be Bevan for Matthews, poor Spriggs I cant ever see him squeezing into the team.

Even if he is one of the club's best possible matchups for C. Judd.
And the man who started it all, the Schneiderman . . . . .

I definitely agree with that. I don't know why we haven't used him on Judd before.

Because Judd has never played a game for Belconnen.

Spriggs would take Judd out of the midfield equation for WC... Judd would move to HF or FF to really exploit him.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Spriggs would be MURDERED if you brought him in for his first AFL level game for 18 months in a GF. Rememeber how Davis kicked 10 goals in canberra and the next week got 3 touches? And that was against one of the worst teams in the comp in a no pressure game. A player simply could not step up levels like that and be expected to do well.

It would be a great fairytale

Now would be the time for selection shenanigans. Play someone the Eagles won't know. Laidlaw, your time has come.

That school kid could play. Dominated v the Coasters last time he played them.

You could be onto something Dr Evil. All the cygnets were having a run at training yesterday. I thought that was a bit odd but a secret weapon. Hmm.

Here's an idea . Why not let Mr Roos and the match committee make the selection?
Wait a minute , I believe they do make the decision!
                              Thank God someone's in charge
Mr Roos knew what he was doing'
