    GF week 2005 to 2006...more or less nerves?

    For me, I have been more relaxed this week compared to 2005 GF week. I have been determined to simply enjoy every moment and just soak it all up.

    Last year, I was packing death for Barry Hall and simply praying that we would win the damn thing...and we did !

    However as bounce down approaches, I am getting familiar feelings:

    * Mind wandering at work (non-stop)
    * Trouble sleeping
    * Sweaty Palms

    How about for you...more relaxed, more nervous or simply the same?

    I dont think im really that nervous, cos i think we're gonna do reeeaaaalllly good, i seem really confident but i hope that confidence doesnt jynx Saturday's game lol!
    But i have to admit that ive been a bit too excited lol! All i ever seem to talk about now is Swans and the upcoming Grand Final. And i means thats ALL i ever talk about. Must get annoying since im surrounded by NRL supporters all day long. Meh... they dont know what they're missing out on! Hehe

            Exact opposite for me. I'm confident too which so unlike me.

              I cant believe how un-nervous I am. I wouldnt go so far as to say calm, but I feel much better than I did this time last year. However, I'm sure that I'll be a nervous wreck on match day, unable to eat, drink, carry a conversation and worrying that I'll throw up any moment.

                  I was calm as the Dalai Lama until today.

                  Woke up this morning and realised I'm going to Melb tomorrow!!!!! Stomach started churning ..can't concentrate.

                  Have to get through a busy day tomorrow then drive to Launceston airport.

                  Last year all the kids were saying Go Swans but this year they want the Eagles to win. No longer the underdogs.

                      Worse than last year....

                      Let's face it... Last year we were happy to make it... complete underdogs... and no weight of expectation on us...

                      This year... completley different story... We know we can do it.. But will we???

                          I am much calmer than last year. Don't really care that much. Still sore and sorry from surgery on Monday and upset at the rotten seats we got.

                            I loved the feeling for the last 10 minutes of the Freo game when I could sit back and just watch, knowing we'd won. In fact I'm addicted to it and want to be able to sit back and luxuriate for the last minutes of the Grand Final.

                              I often feel like its more likely we'll win when we're behind rather than in front...
                              But I've dreamt some random swans-related thing every night this week. Can't believe I'm going to Melb tomorrow. So ridiculously excited.. agree, last year I was excited (but didn't think we'd win) this year I'm nervous (want to win so badly!)..

                              Aargh.. If anything like last year, I won't be able to eat or do anything the morning of, and once there, I did not move from my seat for the whole 4 hours - quite unlike me who often gets drinks food etc. I actually couldn't move.
                              (may have had something to do with Wet Toast fans behind us, but still.)

                              Carn Swans!
                              ~ Err.. No thanks.. But your car's hot! ~
